Fans Are Binge-Watching This Show And Calling It The ‘Best They’ve Ever Seen’

There are so many things to watch on Netflix, it can sometimes be difficult to choose how to spend your time. There also sometimes shows that are so amazing, people will spend all of their time watching them.

A new series on Netflix has been rated by fans as being one of the best they have ever seen. There may be five seasons, but people are already re-watching those seasons over and over again.

From the first episode, it seems as if people are hooked on this series. They call it one of the best shows in recent times, as it includes action, drama, trust, betrayal, love, and a slow burn.

In other words: “has everything one needs to stay glued. The performance of the main cast is superb!”

Another fan of the show writes in, saying: “One of the best series I have ever seen. Very powerful show. I loved it. The acting was excellent. I recommend this series to everyone.”

Another one says that they have been watching the show since the first season and have ‘never been disappointed.’

Joshua John Miller, the director, created the hit show along with writer, MA Fortin. It is an American crime drama based on La Reina del Sur, a Spanish language show.

Alice Braga, who is known for being in shows, such as, I Am Legend and Dark Matter is the lead. She works along with Veronica falcon and Peter Gadiot.

You can get some details from the synopsis of the show, which reads: “Teresa flees Mexico after her drug-runner boyfriend is murdered. Settling in Dallas she looks to become the country’s reigning drug smuggler and to avenge her lover’s murder.`”

The show is based on a real-life female drug Lord, Mallory Chacón. Her nickname, which was given to her by the Guatemalan press is given a nod in the title of the show.

In 2014, she surrendered to United States authorities. The first season came out in 2016 but even as new fans discover the show, they have been binge watching all five seasons.

The lead actress spoke about the importance of the show, saying: “Having Latinos in front of the camera is important, because…when they’re watching the show, they can see themselves in it.

“There’s such a huge Latino community, but if we don’t have Latinos in the director’s chair, if we don’t have Latinos in the writer’s room, in the decision-making rooms, meaning executive producers, you also don’t get certain stories told from that point of view.”

Even though the Queen of the South was popular with the fans, the USA Network decided to cancel the show as they were not producing originals any longer. Thankfully, it is still available on Netflix.
