Kate Middleton Feels One Part Of Royal Life Is A ‘Wrench’

Things have not been the same for Prince William and Kate Middleton lately. With her recent cancer diagnosis, it has kept them at home with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

In addition, the pandemic also kept William and Kate home with her family and they spent a couple of years getting to know them. There was no need for them to travel abroad, and since that time, George and Charlotte have gone with them on a few trips.

Even though the Royal couple has not been away from the children for a long time, the idea is not the most pleasant. Kate Middleton, according to a royal expert, struggles with feelings associated with being away from the children and things got difficult during the 2022 overseas tour.

One of the biggest things you have to do when you are part of the royal family is to represent your country locally and around the world. William and Kate have been overseas on a number of occasions, and they have even taken their two oldest children.

As you can imagine, the Royal couple is very busy when they travel so they have people along to help care for the kids. This includes their nanny, Maria Borrallo along with other family members.

Much support has also come from Kate Middleton’s parents, Carol and Michael Middleton. They were happy about becoming grandparents and they took on the role.

While Kate was at home going through cancer treatments and recovering, her parents were an important part of caring for the children. The source said:

“Her parents are an enduring factor in the upbringing of their grandchildren. And they will be a reassuring presence when she goes back to Windsor to recuperate.”

The Royals are part of a larger family, which includes grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. According to Prince William, all of the relatives and royal siblings play their part.

Kate’s brother, James said: “There’s seven of them (cousins) altogether at the moment. I think they’re all impressed at how much of a mess Inigo can make. But there’s lots of laughter and giggles about.”

Prince George basically has things wrapped up because he will be king someday. The other two children will also have roles of the royal family, but they will differ.

Kate Middleton realizes that there will be differences in the responsibilities for her children, so she is doing what she can to ensure that they are not regarded as extras.

Bond said: “They have already shown that they have a different and modern attitude to bringing up royal children and I’m sure they will do everything to make Charlotte and Louis feel every bit as special, loved and valued as George

“I imagine they will encourage Louis to explore life outside the royal fold… it could be the military, but it could also be working in the charity world or whatever he finds appealing after his education is finished. I’m sure they will encourage him to go to University, which they both enjoyed and where, of course, they found love.

“And from there they will want him to find a life that is meaningful to him as well as appropriate for the son of a future King. They will try to ensure that he feels he is living a life of value, irrespective of his place in the line of succession and that will probably involve service of some kind as they have emphasised from the start that they want their children to understand that having empathy with others is not only a kindness, but is rewarding as well.”

It may be possible that Prince Louis is encouraged to take part in activities outside of his royal life. In the end, he may be given a significant role within the monarchy.

Bond is not the only one who says that the Prince could do more than represent the royal family in that way. Another royal expert, Camilla Tominey has waited on the subject.

Speaking of the Royal couple, she said they “don’t want history to repeat itself and Prince Louis seem like a royal hanger-on and go down the Duke of York path.”

“A lot of the more minor royals have got careers of their own so they aren’t really being tax payer funded,” she continued. “The extent to which the Cambridges have tried to normalise the lives of their children very much points in the direction of – yes, Prince George has his destiny mapped out but Princess Charlotte and Louis’ having their own careers?’”

The reason why William and Kate may be struggling with their travels is that they will not always bring the children with them. In addition, they may not always be a part of life in general for the family.

Lizzie Robinson, another royal expert said: “They’ve [Prince and Princess of Wales] been really careful to manage how they’ve done it and what they’ve taken them to,. They’ve considered each event on a case-by-case basis. And the fact that Louis wasn’t taken suggests that they are considering what they think is right for each child at what time. So, you know, his time will come.”

One speaker commented in a podcast The Royal Record, saying: “He’s still only six, we have to remember. Charlotte made her first appearance at Wimbledon when she was eight, so he’s got to wait a couple more years. But Kate did say last year when George and Charlotte went to Wimbledon without Louis, that he was very upset about it.”

Kate experience the difficulties of traveling without children. That was seen in 2022 when she was in the Caribbean.

“Despite being the Princess of Wales and being able to afford around-the-clock nannies and so on, she had her mum looking after Prince George and Princess Charlotte, which struck me as just really normal. I could see how much comfort and confidence that gave her in getting on with her job, which she does brilliantly, but I think it is always such a wrench for her to leave her children behind.”
